OUR CORE AREAS OF SPECIALTY
TREATING ADULTS WITH AUTISM OR ASPERGER'S
We treat adults in Ottawa & nearby communities who have autism, Asperger’s and a variety of other issues. At present all our sessions take place online.
People with autism face varying degrees of obstacles & roadblocks as they make their way into and through adulthood. Being autistic is still widely misunderstood in society, and while strides have been made, adults with autism often need help working through many of the issues that stand in the way of success. That’s where we can help, guiding you through the process.LEARN MORE
Asperger’s affects around 0.5% of people worldwide. Its symptoms can manifest differently from person to person, but what’s common to nearly all with Asperger’s is that the people with it remain largely misunderstood by others. We help adults with Asperger’s gain the fundamental understanding, tools & confidence they need to survive and thrive.LEARN MORE
HELPING PEOPLE LIVE THEIR BEST LIVES
FAMILIES & PARTNERS OF THOSE WITH AUTISM & ASPERGER'S
Autism, Asperger’s and other disorders don’t just affect the person afflicted with the condition. The families, spouses, partners and friends of someone with autism or Asperger’s know all too well the realities of these conditions, not just for their loved one but for everyone who is close to him or her. That’s why we offer counselling that incorporates families and partners of people with autism and Asperger’s.
- Encourage social skills & interaction
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment
- Help the group provide communication feedback for improvement
Our experience has shown that counselling can help a person feel like less of a burden to their friends, family and community. We currently do not have a wait list, so you can be seen right away! Please note: due to the pandemic, all sessions are now over the phone or through a secure online video chat service. Reach out and get in touch with us today!
